Highlight Video

Hello everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my home page. I put this together in order to have a place where my collective works could be compiled and displayed for public viewing. I am 100% self taught is all my disciplines.  For many years I have been working on the creation of many types of art ranging from music to video and photography. My main interests was music for most of my teen and early adulthood years. Then in 1998, I got my first 35mm camera setup and that really changed a lot of things for me. Visual arts has taken over as my main interest. I still plan to create and perform music but not on the scale that I used to. I have recently taken an interest in drawing and painting.

My interest in mopeds is somewhat new... I have two older brothers who introduced me to 50cc bikes back in the mid 80's (Mobylette, Jawa, Yamaha, Honda, Sachs, Puch). I got to ride them all... but since I was only about 10 years old it was mostly around the parking lots in the neighborhood. Still, I found it to be very fun. Fast forward 20 years, I got my first moped in 2008. A Tomos Streetmate. Its quite large for a 50cc which suits me well. The bike has had its problems but has still given me many miles of dependable service. I was suprised at the lack of online video tutorials for moped repair and maintenance. That is why I started to make a few videos last year, simple things like "how to change your transmission fluid" and so on... Many of you have sent me messages and thanks for these simple demonstrations. I appreciate your support and kind words since I don't make any money from any of my video projects... its all for fun. I have also begun to do moped design mockups which I have been posting on MopedArmy.com.

More recently, I have been working mostly on high definition video production and custom visual effects. In these times, I feel that an audience will probably respond more positively to material that is richly produce and defined. Audio tracks by themselves simply do not attract an audience like the once did and photographs can sometimes lack the motion and feel of everyday life. HD video takes the best of both mediums and puts them together. A densely packed visual coupled with a rich audio backdrop has the ability to immerse the viewer in a moment. Sometimes, as the case with my "Trains of Canada" video series... The point is to bring something to the viewer that he or she may not experience otherwise. It would be pretty impractical to travel the globe just watch trains wouldn't it?! (but, I would LOVE that... lol)

More recent events include...

  • With the riding season coming to a close, I will be putting away my Streetmate and LX untill about April. I hope to do some work on the LX over the winter and maybe have her repainted to a nice carbon gray color scheme.
  • My latest "Trains of Canada" videos will be in the form of music montages, I simply don't have the time to upload individual clips like I have been doing. I have made my second application to the  YouTube Partnership program... fingers crossed... you can help me out by subscribing to my YouTube channel and watching some of my original video content.
  • The Master Series is almost complete! I have been reworking the proofs for the last few months and I am now ready to start doing some test prints. I will post some more data as it comes in...
  •  I have a song that is half finished... I have been working on it for months. Soon, I will record the vocals and finish it. At that time, I will upload it to Garageband.com for everyone. Until then, I suggest that you go and have a listen to some of my back catalog. Its free!
